Taguig City has taken the coronavirus fight to the next level.
The city government has built a new quarantine facility and deployed a robot to help protect frontliners attending to the patients.
House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano took to Facebook to cheer the latest technological advancement in the fight against coronavirus in his hometown.
The new quarantine facility, composed of converted air-conditioned container vans, and the “Robonurse” are symbols of hope for the people in the face of the pandemic, Cayetano said. The robot, built by students, is expected to bring medicines and other supplies as well as communicate with patients while nurses monitor through a screen from far away.
He said the new isolation units in Taguig City provide safe and clean shelter for patients nursing the coronavirus illness.
He congratulated Taguig City for the latest improvement in their quarantine efforts.
“At may RoboNurse pa! Congratulations Taguig, keep up the good work,” he said.
