Malacañang said former police officer Cezar Mancao II will do a good job in addressing cybercrime in the country.
In a statement Wednesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed the Mancao’s appointment as Executive Director V of the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center of the Department of Information and Communications Technology.
His credentials fit the job, said Roque.
“We are confident that Mr. Mancao’s professional credentials would contribute in cybercrime prevention in the country,” according to the spokesman.
“We wish him good luck in his new assignment,” he added.
Mancao, head of the now-defunct Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force under the Estrada administration, was among the suspects in the Dacer-Corbito double murder case in 2000.
