Duterte still Philippines’ most trusted gov’t official – Pulse Asia

President Rodrigo Duterte continues to enjoy a high trust and approval rating, according to the latest survey released by pollster Pulse Asia.

Results of Pulse Asia’s poll revealed that Duterte remains the most trusted government official in the country at 91 percent, an increase of eight percentage points from December 2019.

Five percent disapproved of the President’s performance while five percent were undecided, the survey conducted between September 14 and 20 showed.

Vice-President Leni Robredo got an approval rating of 57 percent, with 21 percent undecided and disapproval of 22 percent. She received a 50 percent trust rating.

The same survey revealed that Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III had 84 percent approval rating and a 79 percent trust rating.

House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano obtained a 67 percent trust rating, along with 19 percent undecided and 10 percent expressing disapproval. He obtained an approval rating of 70 percent.

Only Supreme Court Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta failed to score majority approval and trust ratings, with 44 percent and 39 percent, respectively.
