The prices of all basic necessities are frozen for 60 days, according to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

During a National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) briefing Friday, Roque said the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) imposed price freeze on essentials in the following areas:

*Batangas

*Camarines

*Catanduanes

*Cavite

*Mindoro

*Palawan

“Pinapaalalahanan din ng DTI na base sa Republic Act 7581 o Price Act ang mga presyo ng mga basic necessities na idedeklarang nasa ilalim ng state of calamity ay frozen sa kanilang prevailing prices sa ilalim ng automatic price control sa loob ng 60 araw,” the secretary said.
