Amid Ulysses’ onslaught, state-run TV network features Bong Go PR

By Prince Golez

As typhoon “Ulysses” continues to devastate many parts of the country, state-run network PTV-4 featured Senator Christopher “Bong” Go’s distribution of assistance to typhoon “Rolly” victims in Catanduanes province as its first news story in today’s Laging Handa Public Briefing.

Go, former longtime aide of President Rodrigo Duterte, consistently appears at the start of every Laging Handa episode.

Laging Handa, which premiered last March 16, is a television-radio program that provides the general public information on all coronavirus-related matters.

Government officials are invited as guest speakers to give updates on Covid-19 and other national issues in the Philippines.

The program is also live streamed on PTV-4’s Facebook page.
