With several of its RFID installation sites getting overcrowded (some have even been told to temporarily close due to social distancing violations by the IATF), the management of Autosweep RFID has opted to make RFID enrollment by appointment basis only.
The RFID system used by SLEX, Skyway, STAR, NAIAX, and TPLEX says all RFID enrollment will be done a by-appointment basis starting today, November 4, 2020. This was announced and confirmed through their various social media platforms.
The Autosweep RFID still remains free of charge but will require a P 200 initial load for Class 1 and P 1,000 for Class 2 and 3 vehicles.
All San Miguel Corporation operated expressways are now 100 percent RFID compliant. However, they have extended the shift to 100 percent cashless operation to November 30, per a DOTr mandate. Anyone who will enter any expressway without any RFID installed will be subject to a fine starting December 1, 2020.
Based on personal experience, the appointment system is still slow and buggy at the moment. Interested applicants can book their slot through this link.
