President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed a new chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), replacing soon-to-retire PNP chief Gen. Camilo Cascolan.
Cascolan is set to retire from the police service on November 10.
“Alam ko po nagkaroon na ng desisyon ang ating Presidente,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a recent Laging Handa public briefing.
Roque, however, said he would have to wait for his appointment papers before making an announcement.
“Ang ating procedure po dito sa Spox, wala pong announcement kapag wala pa po kaming papel,” he added.
