President Rodrigo Duterte assured on Sunday that the government has funds to help the people and communities recover from successive typhoons.
“What’s important is there is money. Kung walang pera, mahirap yan. Pero ‘pag meron… I think everybody has the money,” Duterte said during a situation briefing in Pili, Camarines Sur following the onslaught of typhoon “Ulysses.”
Duterte also said the government has already prepared and prepositioned key assets and resources even before the storm reached land.
“In so far as the national government is concerned, the reaction of different offices would really matter. Sanay na sila diyan,” according to him.
“Do not believe na walang ginagawa yan. Long before the typhoon came naka-deploy na ang mga pagkain tapos yung tulong,” he added.
