Senator Panfilo Lacson is not having a former lawmaker’s latest attention-seeking rant against his presidential bid.
Lacson hit back at former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV for allegedly just seeking publicity after the latter criticized the failed unity talks of the opposition and the senator’s presidential ambition. The former rebel soldier was branded as “KSP” by Lacson.
“Will somebody call out this KSP to change his tack to be noticed?” Lacson tweeted on Sept. 23, 2021.
Lacson put Trillanes in his place after learning the former lawmaker’s tirade against him, Senator Manny Pacquiao and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso.
The former senator earlier wrote on Facebook that the unity talks of the opposition were in vain after the three politikos announced their presidential plans in the 2022 elections. He said Lacson, Pacquiao and Domagoso really wanted to run for president and are not really part of the genuine opposition.
“Bunga ng mga pagdeklara ng pagtakbo bilang Presidente nina Sen. Ping Lacson, Sen. Manny Pacquiao at Mayor Isko Moreno, nabasura nang tuluyan ang ‘unity talks’ na tinutulak ni VP Leni Robredo,” Trillanes said on Facebook on Sept. 23, 2021.
“Simula’t sapul, talagang desidido naman silang tumakbong pagka-Presidente. Bukod pa rito, hindi naman sila TUNAY NA OPOSISYON kahit papaano pa natin baliktarin ito,” he said.
Lacson, Pacquiao, and Domagoso were among the poll aspirants met by Vice President Leni Robredo as part of her push for a united opposition in the 2022 elections. Trillanes is a known supporter of Robredo. He hopes Robredo will decide on her 2022 plans soon otherwise he will be compelled to seek the presidency.
