Palace: ‘Premature’ to pass Bayanihan 3 for Covid-19 response

By Prince Golez

Malacañang on Tuesday branded as “premature” the proposal to pass a third Bayanihan Law to address the economic impact of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque issued the statement after Marikina City Rep. Stella Luz Quimbo urged fellow lawmakers to enact a Bayanihan 3 to support Filipinos and sectors affected by the economic disruptions caused by the virus.

Kung merong kakulangan, pupuwede naman magpapasa uli ng Bayanihan 3m” Roque said during his virtual presser.

Tingnan po muna natin,” he added.

Congress earlier passed the Bayanihan 1 and 2 to allow the Duterte administration to expedite the implementation of measures to address the Covid-19 pandemic.
