Palace warns of closure against tiangges’ ignoring Covid-19 protocols

By Prince Golez

Malacañang warned “tiangges” of possible closure should they fail to implement health protocols against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

In a televised briefing Tuesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque reminded bazaar organizers to follow safety and health rules as the holiday shopping season is around the corner.

He also urged tiangges to limit overcrowding and specify entry and exit points.

Roque likewise reminded local government units of their duty to ensure compliance with Covid-19 protocols and regulations.
