Roque says media treating him unfairly, claims Robredo also violated social distancing rules

By Prince Golez

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque placed the blame on several media outlets for focusing on his attendance at a local government event in Bantayan Island, where quarantine protocols were supposedly violated.

In his televised briefing Tuesday, Roque wondered why the media did not criticize Vice President Leni Robredo when she was captured shaking people’s hands during a recent out-of-town visit.

Hindi ba violation ito ng restriction on social distancing,” the Palace official said.

Earlier, Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduard Año ordered an investigation into the mass gathering during the Suroy-Suroy Sugbo program held in Bantayan Island last November 27.
