Will Senator Manny Pacquiao be working with Hollywood star Angelina Jolie soon?
Philippine Daily Inquirer showbiz columnist Dolly Anne Carvajal hinted Saturday (November 21) about the possibility of the two international icons working together for a movie titled, “Freedom Fighters.”
“My BFF Buboy (Cesar Montano) told me that the script of his movie with Manny Pacquiao, ‘Freedom Fighters,’ is being rewritten. The revised version will be sent to Angelina Jolie by its Los Angeles-based producer, Francis Lara Ho,” Carvajal said in her column.
“Hopefully, Angelina would be game to be part of the monumental film,” she added.
Freedom Fighters is based on the Guerrilla Wife, a memoir written by American author Louise Reid Spencer, who lived in the Philippines during the Japanese occupation. Pacquiao will be playing the role of Macario Peralta, Jr., a guerrilla leader in Panay.
Ho said in 2019 that his Inspire Studios will be partnering with a “major US studio” so the movie will have a global release.
