Limit holiday gatherings to immediate family members, says Palace

Christmas parties involving a large number of people and caroling are not allowed during the holiday season, MalacaƱang reminded the public.

In his virtual presser Tuesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque reiterated that Christmas family reunions are considered mass gatherings, which are currently prohibited under general community quarantine.

Yung mga pagdidiwang sana nga po maliliit na pamilya lamang,” said Roque who recently drew flak for attending a crowded local government event in Bantayan Island, Cebu.

He noted that under the GCQ classification, gathering is allowed for up to 10 persons only.

Those who will be caught in mass gatherings, he added, will be dealt according to the local ordinance that will be crafted.

“At the very minimum, they will be asked to disassemble.
