An ordinance is still needed before minors will be allowed to enter shopping malls with their parents, MalacaƱang said.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque affirmed on Tuesday the announcement of Interior chief Eduardo AƱo on allowing minors in malls.
This, according to Roque, will take effect once the local government units issued their respective ordinances.
“Maglalabas ng kani-kaniyang mga lokal na pamahalaan ng rules tungkol dito at saka magkakaroon din po ng guidelines ang Metro Manila Council,” he added.
Metro Manila, Davao del Norte, Batangas, Lanao del Sur, Davao City, Iligan City, Iloilo City, and Tacloban City remain under general community quarantine (GCQ) until December 31.
All other areas were placed under modified general GCQ.
