The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has allowed provincial buses to resume operations in point-to-point routes, Malacañang said Tuesday.
But, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the new policy is subject to implementing rules from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and the local governments of destination.
“Ang pagbabalik operasyon ng provincial buses pero sa point-to-point routes na inaprubahan ng LTFRB at local government unit of destination,” Roque said in a televised briefing.
“Kasama na rin dito yung mga stop-over at mga transit terminals,” he added.
The Palace official said the Department of Transportation and the LTFRB will issue the final guidelines for the operations of point-to-point provincial buses.
