MalacaƱang blamed the critics and detractors of the Duterte administration for spreading rumors that there will be a nationwide lockdown during the holiday season.
“Ang mga kritiko at detractors ng administrasyon ay patuloy sa pagkakalat ng pekeng balita para siraan ang pasko ng mga Pilipino,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised briefing Monday.
Roque reiterated that the alleged nationwide lockdown from December 23 to Jan 3, 2021 is “fake news.”
The country’s community quarantine status for December has already been announced by President Rodrigo Duterte Monday last week, according to him.
The next quarantine classification, he added, will be announced next month.
“Para hindi ma fake news, kinakailangan na suriin natin ang ating nakukuhang impormasyon lalo na kung ito ay magdudulot ng alarma, pangamba at stress. Fake news yung kumakalat na lockdown daw sa panahon ng pasko,” he concluded.
