MalacaƱang is optimistic that the proposed 2021 national budget will become a law one time.
Congress approved the final version of next year’s P4.5 -trillion national budget on Wednesday.
The Office of the President, however, has yet to receive a copy of the enrolled General Appropriations Bill as of December 10.
“We will take all steps necessary para maging batas po ito on time,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised briefing.
But, Roque said the President will still exercise his power of review and his power of line-item veto of individual appropriations.
