MalacaƱang on Monday took a jab at the opposition for claiming that the Philippines is lagging behind its neighboring countries in coronavirus vaccination efforts.
In his virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque dismissed the allegations as “baseless” and “figment of imagination.”
Roque cited data from Bloomberg’s Covid-19 Vaccine Tracker that only 1.98 percent of Singapore’s population have received Covid-19 vaccine while India and Indonesia have inoculated 0.27 percent and 0.19 percent of its total population, respectively.
“Ang ibig sabihin nito hindi tayo nangungulelat,” the Palace official said.
‘Wag tayong magpapaloko diyan sa kritikong ‘yan, walang matinong magawa,” he concluded.
