Guni-guni at pantasya! Palace denies PH lagging behind peers in vaccine rollout

By Prince Golez

MalacaƱang on Monday took a jab at the opposition for claiming that the Philippines is lagging behind its neighboring countries in coronavirus vaccination efforts.

In his virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque dismissed the allegations as ā€œbaselessā€ and ā€œfigment of imagination.ā€

Roque cited data from Bloombergā€™s Covid-19 Vaccine Tracker that only 1.98 percent of Singaporeā€™s population have received Covid-19 vaccine while India and Indonesia have inoculated 0.27 percent and 0.19 percent of its total population, respectively.

ā€œAng ibig sabihin nito hindi tayo nangungulelat,ā€ the Palace official said.

ā€˜Wag tayong magpapaloko diyan sa kritikong ā€˜yan, walang matinong magawa,ā€ he concluded.
