MalacaƱang on Monday took a jab at the opposition for claiming that the Philippines is lagging behind its neighboring countries in coronavirus vaccination efforts.
In his virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque dismissed the allegations as ābaselessā and āfigment of imagination.ā
Roque cited data from Bloombergās Covid-19 Vaccine Tracker that only 1.98 percent of Singaporeās population have received Covid-19 vaccine while India and Indonesia have inoculated 0.27 percent and 0.19 percent of its total population, respectively.
āAng ibig sabihin nito hindi tayo nangungulelat,ā the Palace official said.
āWag tayong magpapaloko diyan sa kritikong āyan, walang matinong magawa,ā he concluded.
