Kung ‘di pa nasita sa party ni Tim Yap: KC Concepcion vows to wear mask when there’s a crowd

KC Concepcion appears to have belatedly realized the importance of wearing masks—a year since the first COVID-19 case in the Philippines was announced.

The stepdaughter of Senator Francis Pangilinan has promised to wear a mask in public after drawing flak for attending the birthday party of socialite Tim Yap in Baguio earlier this month.

The party drew criticism on social media as photos showed Concepcion and other guests mingling at The Manor without masks and observing physical distancing.

“From now on, even if we all test PCR negative, I will mask up anytime I’m in a crowd, for extra safety. I hope we all remind each other to do so, too. Let’s learn (& relearn) the safety precautions the gov has put in place for us, so we can take care of each other. Love to all,” Concepcion tweeted Friday (January 29).

The city government fined Concepcion, Yap and other guests present at the party P1,500 for violating the local ordinance on wearing masks and observing physical distancing.
