Instead of bashing members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG), Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa believes the public should thank President Rodrigo Duterte’s close-in detail for having themselves inoculated with an unauthorized COVID-19 vaccine from China.
In an interview over dzMM radio Saturday (January 2), Dela Rosa said the PSG allowed themselves to be “guinea pigs” for the vaccine even though doubts about its efficacy linger.
PSG commander Brigadier General Jesus Durante III earlier confirmed that they had received a COVID-19 vaccine even though the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has yet to approve a brand for use in the Philippines.
While Durante refused to disclose the vaccine administered to them, Duterte said in a speech last week that it was the vaccine from China’s state-owned pharmaceutical company, Sinopharm.
