By Prince Golez

Malacañang mourned the death of Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) Dante Jimenez, who passed away Friday.

“The Palace expresses its condolences to the family, loved ones and colleagues of PACC Dante Jimenez who died of aortic aneurysm last night, January 29,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.

Roque said Jimenez spent most of his productive life advocating a just and peaceful society for Filipinos by fighting criminality and corruption.

“He believed and shared President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s centerpiece program, which is, the campaign against illegal drugs, crime and corruption,” the Palace official added.

Jimenez also served as co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs.

“He would be dearly missed. May the perpetual light shine upon him, and may the soul of Mr. Jimenez rest in eternal peace,” said Roque.
