Senate President Tito Sotto on Saturday reiterated his call for a hybrid election system combining manual and electoral systems in the 2022 national elections.
He said that was the only way to ensure no cheating in the polls.
“Yan ang kailangan para maiwasan ang wholesale na dayaan,” Sotto said in a DWIZ interview.
The Senate president also said he believes there’s no way that no elections will be held in 2022, as the people would revolt otherwise.
“Alam mo ang bansa natin subukan mo mag-announce na no-el, subukan mo, nagkaka-rebolusyon. Fiesta ang eleksyon eh,” Sotto said.
He called on all politicians to stop politicking in the months ahead.
“Yan ang panawagan na walang makikinig sa akin. Gawin lang natin ang trabaho. Magtrabaho pa rin. Yan ang hindi naiisip, sa tagal ko na dito. ang pinaka the best na kampanya magtrabaho ka. Di yung kmapanya ka ng kampanya, ikot ka ng ikot,” Sotto said.
