President Rodrigo Duterte is willing to prove that the coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccines the government will procure are safe and effective, his former aide, Senator Bong Go said.
During the Laging Handa briefing on Saturday, Go said he would try his best to convince Duterte into taking the Covid-19 vaccine shots in public.
“Kung iyon po ay makakakuha ng kumpiyansa ng bawat Pilipino ay puwede po naming—ako personally, puwede po nating gawin iyon ‘no. I cannot speak in behalf of the President,” according to the senator.
“Pero I’m sure si Pangulo ay willing i-prove sa publiko na ito pong mga bakuna na kaniyang pinabili sa gobyerno ay safe at makakatulong po sa bawat Pilipino na makabalik po sa dating normal,” he added.
Earlier, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte preferred to be injected with the vaccine in the buttock area so it needs to be held in private.
