Malacañang on Friday condoled with the family of Bro. Eliseo “Eli” Soriano on his passing.
Soriano died at the age of 73, his religious group Members Church of God International announced in a Facebook post early today. His cause of death was not disclosed.
“We extend our condolences to the bereaved family, friends, loved ones and followers of Bro. Eliseo “Eli” Soriano who passed away at the age of 73,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a short statement.
Roque said Soriano, known as preacher of “Ang Dating Daan,” touched the lives and served as guide to many.
“His dedication to propagate the words of God in the Bible was a clear testament of his steadfast love to serve his brethren and the Almighty,” according to him.
“Our prayers go to Bro Eli as he may rest in eternal peace and happiness,” he also said.
