Malacañang on Thursday said there is no reason for Senator Leila de Lima to celebrate following the dismissal of one of the three illegal drugs cases filed against her.
The Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court Branch 205 earlier junked one of the drug cases against de Lima for due to clear absence of evidence.
When asked for his reaction, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the senator, a staunch critic of the Duterte administration, is still detained over pending drug cases.
“Wala po kaming reaction diyan kasi nakakulong pa rin siya. Siya’y nakakulong pa rin kasi meron pa siyang dalawang kaso,” Roque said during a televised briefing.
“So, bakit siya magce-celebrate eh nandun pa rin siya sa selda niya,” he added.
