In a virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque reiterated that the government has adopted the “whole-of-nation” approach to revive the hog industry and bring down prices of pork.
“Patuloy ang ginagawang hakbang ng ating gobyerno para makatiyak na may sapat na suplay ng baboy sa ating mga palengke,” said Roque.
The Palace official reemphasized that the government will source pork from the Visayas, Mindanao, and parts of Luzon not hit by the ASF.
“Sa katunayan, kakarating lang sa pier ng Maynila ang hindi baba sa 360 metric tons na baboy galing sa General Santos,” he added.
