All foreign nationals, except tourists, with valid visas are now allowed to enter the Philippines, according to Malacañang.
Only those with visas issued as of March 20, 2020 were previously permitted to enter the country.
On Friday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases deleted the reckoning period of March 20, 2020, in reference to the visas issued to foreigners allowed to travel to the Philippines.
The secretary, however said, entry of foreign prospective spouses is still prohibited.
“Ang ‘love is not tourism’ kasi is tourist visa pa rin, so antay-antay lang tayo.
