By Billy Begas

Justice Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay-Villar said on Monday (March 22) two employees of the Department of Justice (DOJ) have been hospitalized due to the COVID-19 virus.

Villar said that as of Monday there are still 45 active cases of the COVID-19 among the DOJ employees.

“Majority are in home quarantine (assymptomatic/mild cases), eight are in quarantine facility and two are confined in the hospital,” she disclosed.

Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra has imposed a work suspension at the DOJ from March 19 to 23.

Guevarra said he is considering extending it because of the latest infections.

The secretary issued the work suspension just after implementing a lockdown from March 12 to 16.
