Filipinos deserve better.
Former Vice President Jojo Binay did not mince words when it came to the alleged failed governance of the Duterte administration.
In a Facebook post, Binay has expressed dismay with the Duterte leadership, saying the people have a right to governance that was not insensitive and incompetent.
The former vice president made the comment after state-owned PTV-4 erroneously used the hashtag #DutertePalpak on a news item posted on Twitter.
“Sometimes, the truth hurts. And this may sound familiar to many, but the people deserve more than manhid at palpak governance,” he said.
Binay did not back any sanction for the person who made the oversight on Twitter.
“PTV 4 says it is launching an investigation regarding the posting of #DutertePalpak on their twitter account,” the former Makati City mayor said.
“They should not punish the person who posted it. He or she is just sharing the sentiment of many Filipinos. Even in a government TV station, we assume there is still freedom of expression,” he said.
