Gov’t enforces GCQ ‘bubble’ in NCR, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal til April 4

By Prince Golez

The government has prohibited non-essential travel to and from Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal from March 22 to April to stem the relentless resurgence of Covid-19 infections.

There are several exceptions to the travel restrictions, including:

essential workers
health and emergency frontline services personne;
government officials and government frontline personnel
duly-authorized humanitarian assistance actors
persons traveling for medical or humanitarian reasons
persons going to the airport for travel abroad
anyone crossing zones for work or business and going back home
returning overseas Filipinos and overseas Filipino workers

Meanwhile, Roque said public transportation will retain current capacity but encouraged people to cycle or walk.

He also cited the “seven commandments” for public transportation, namely wearing face masks and face shields; no talking and making phone calls; no eating; adequate ventilation; frequent disinfection; no symptomatic passengers; and appropriate physical distancing.
