Amid the rising number of Covid-19 cases, the Philippine government has prohibited all mass gatherings including religious activities in areas under general community quarantine.
In a televised briefing Sunday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the prohibition will take effect in the next two weeks or until April 4.
Roque, however, said weddings, baptisms and funeral services will be permitted with limited capacity.
Meanwhile, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, in its Resolution No. 104, encouraged the private sector to adopt alternative working arrangements for its employees to prevent the spread of the virus.
