Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on Wednesday honored the memory of former Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) chairperson Dante Jimenez during the 3rd anniversary of the Commission.
In a recorded message, Medialdea said Jimenez, who passed away due to aortic aneurysm last January, made a “significant” contribution in the government’s crusade against corrupt employees and officials.
“Chairperson Jimenez devoted his life to an advocacy against criminality and corruption as showed to his years of service in the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption and subsequently the PACC,” according to the Palace official.
“May we all honor his legacy by remaining firm in our campaign against corruption and in our advocacy towards good governance and public accountability,” he also said.
Meanwhile, Medialdea said the anti-corruption agency remains steadfast in its mandate to eradicate graft and corruption and to aid the administration in its campaign for good governance and accountability.
The PACC served as a conduit for people’s grievances so their request, including benefits from the government’s social assistance programs, may be processed by corresponding government agencies, he also said.
