Think for a change.
Sen. Panfilo Lacson thus clapped back Monday at presidential legal counsel Salvador Panelo, who on Sunday dared the senator to present a solution to the COVID vaccine shortage.
“Solution? How about getting competent people? How many opportunities were missed and lost? Who dropped the ball? Who is indecisive? Who has no sense of urgency? Who is making money even in the middle of a pandemic? Think for a change, Sal,” Lacson said in a tweet.

Last Thursday, Lacson posted on his Twitter account that despite the government having piled up billions in loans to acquire vaccines, the question remains – where are the vaccines?
He also warned anew against over-regulation, saying the private sector should be tapped as a partner to get better deals. He recalled that when he was Presidential Assistant for Rehabilitation and Recovery (PARR), the private sector greatly helped in the rehabilitation of areas hit by Super Typhoon Yolanda, while bureaucratic procedure slowed the government.
Also, he said that while both the government and the public deserve some blame for the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, government should have a bigger share of the blame.
“Kung hindi sana nag-overregulate sa pag-procure ng vaccines kasi may pera namang available mula sa approved loans that DOF having the foresight to anticipate the ‘crowding’ took the initiative to negotiate as early as March or April. Sayang,” he said.
