What's Going on with Subaru Dealerships?

Today marks the last day of Subaru Alabang, almost a decade since it opened under the management of the ANC Group.

Throughout its run, Subaru Alabang (aka Whitehorn Motors Corporation) has become one of the most important dealerships for the six-star brand. At its peak, it managed to register close to 20 percent of all of Subaru’s Philippine sales and was instrumental in the brand’s expansion down south.

Separately, Subaru Cainta (aka Brescia Auto Corporation) is also closing today.

With the ANC Group’s closure of all of its Subaru branches—Alabang, Sta. Rosa, Lipa, and Batangas—would-be Subaru buyers and current Subaru owners are surely concerned. It’s a concern that Subaru’s official Philippine distributor, Motor Image Pilipinas just put to rest.

While Motor Image Pilipinas is studying to bring back Alabang into its roster either as a distributor-owned dealership or a franchise dealership, the company is pointing its southern customers to its newly opened Imus, Cavite showroom for now.

Subaru Imus, Cavite is owned and operated by AVB Motorhub Pilipinas, a seasoned dealership that also deals in Kia (Cabanatuan) as well as KTM motorcycles in Alabang and Lipa.

Subaru Imus, Cavite was supposed to hold its official opening today, but the implementation of ECQ in “NCR Plus” meant that its opening will be delayed. That said, its service center is expected to go online by the second half of 2021.

Subaru customers can contact Subaru Imus, Cavite at +63 917 509 1376 or visit the showroom at Casa Bellisima, Barangay Anabu, Imus City, Cavite.

Meanwhile, another franchise dealer has also been appointed for Lipa City in Batangas. It will join the soon-to-open Subaru Pangasinan (Grand Canyon Multi Holdings, Inc.) and Subaru Legazpi (Automarken, Inc.)
