Bong Go on community pantries: ‘Walang pulitika dapat ang pagtulong’

Senator Christopher Go is supportive of the emergence of community pantries to assist hungry Filipinos.

The President’s former aide said helping others especially during the pandemic knows no political color.

These private sector-driven initiatives are “working to complement or fill in the gaps of ongoing government efforts to combat both the COVID-19 pandemic and its socio-economic impact resulting in poverty and hunger,” he said.

While he welcomed community pantries, the senator appealed to the public to observe health protocols.

He also defended the government’s responsibility in enforcing health and safety protocols.
