Limited face-to-face classes in colleges will be allowed in areas under Alert Level 2, MalacaƱang announced Friday.
In his virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque confirmed that in-person classes in higher education institutions (HEIs) may be conducted at a maximum of 50 percent of venue capacity.
“Ayon sa CHED, pinapayagan ang limited face-to-face classes sa Alert Level 2, subject to CHED guidelines,” according to Roque.
These guidelines are as follows:
-fully vaccinated faculty and students
-a maximum of 50 percent room capacity
-concurrence/support from local government units (LGUs) concerned; and
-retrofitting of facilities to be used for limited face-to-face classes as inspected and authorized by CHED.
“Pupuwede pong magkaroon ng limited face-to-face pero hindi po yan instant. Hindi po magkakaroon ng face-to-face sa Lunes. Kinakailangan pumayag muna ang mga LGUs at mag retrofit muna ng classrooms,” the secretary said.
Metro Manila will be under a more relaxed Alert Level 2 quarantine classification until November 21.
