Palace Spokesman Harry Roque will announce the new quarantine classifications later this afternoon, Malacañang said Saturday.
Roque is also expected to make an announcement on the latest Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases resolutions, according to Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary Rachel Queenie Dizon-Rodulfo.
“Good afternoon. Spox to make an announcement on CQ classifications & the latest IATF resos at around 3pm today via PTV4 and streamed on Govt FB sites,” said Dizon-Rodulfo.
The national government earlier extended the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal until April 11 to combat the increasing spread of coronavirus disease.
As of April 10, the Philippines has recorded a total of 853,209 Covid-19 cases, of which 190,245 are active and 14,744 have died.
