The Province of Ifugao has been added to areas under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from May 1 to 31, Malacañang announced Friday.
In a Laging Handa public briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque also said Puerto Princesa City will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) for the entire month of May.
“Nadagdag ang Ifugao sa area na under modified enhanced community quarantine. So, sa CAR dalawa na ang lugar under MECQ: ang Abra at Ifugao,” according to him.
“Nadagdag naman po ang Puerto Princesa City sa lugar under GCQ. Ito po’y matapos mag apela ‘yung probinsya ng Ifugao at siyudad ng Puerto Princesa,” he added.
Other areas covered by MECQ classification were Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Santiago City in Quirino.
Areas extending their GCQ status are Apayao, Baguio City, Benguet, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Batangas, Quezon, Tacloban City, Iligan City, Davao City, and Lanao del Sur.
