Malacañang on Thursday condoled with the family of former Interior undersecretary Wencelito Andanar who passed away at the age of 73.
“Nakikiramay po kami sa pamilya, katrabaho, kasamahan sa pagkamatay ni former DILG Undersecretary and special envoy of the President to Malaysia Atty. Wencelito “Wency” Andanar, ama po ni PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in his virtual presser.
The younger Andanar earlier confirmed that his father succumbed to liver cancer at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center.
“May God warmly embrace Mr. Wency Andanar as he welcomes Him to his eternal kingdom in heaven. Rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers to the family,” said Roque.
“Matalik po nating kaibigan si Usec. Wency. Nakikiramay po kami sa buong pamilyang Andanar,” he added.
