Malacañang reiterated its support for the establishment of community pantries in the country despite the statement of National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict spokesperson Lieutenant General Antonio Parlade Jr. likening such to Satan giving apple to Eve.
When asked if the Palace agrees with Parlade’s comments against organizers of community pantries, Roque said: “As far as the community pantries are concerned, malinaw po ang posisyon Presidente diyan, malinaw ang posisyon ng DILG, malinaw ang posisyon ng PNP. Let a thousand community pantries bloom.”
During his virtual presser Thursday, the secretary said he and Interior Secretary Eduardo Año might talk to Defense Delfin Lorenzana about Parlade’s continuous red-tagging activities.
