The initial batch of 15,000 doses of Sputnik vaccine from Russia will arrive in the Philippines on April 28, MalacaƱang announced Monday.
āPatuloy ang pagdating ng bakuna sa Pilipinas. Sang-ayon sa national task force, inaasahang darating ang 15,000 doses ng Gamaleya or Sputnik V vaccine mula Rusya sa Miyerkules,ā Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a virtual presser.
Roque added that 500,000 more doses of Sinovac vaccine developed by Chinaās Sinovac BioTech are set to arrive Thursday.
āSa Huwebes naman po, April 29, inaasahan naman natin ang panibagong batch ng 500,000 doses na Sinovac vaccine na ating binili sa bansang Tsina,ā according to him.
At present, 1.61 million Filipinos have already received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, while around 215,000 people are fully vaccinated.
