In honor of Mother’s Day, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar paid tribute to mothers on Sunday.
A mother can never be repaid for her “unmatched” sacrifices, Andanar said in a statement.
“It is through our mothers’ unwavering love, support, and guidance that we first experience happiness, comfort, and the wonders of life,” the Presidential Communications Operations Office chief said.
Andanar also recognized the contribution of mothers who work on the front lines of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
“On this special day dedicated to them, we value the contribution of all mothers, especially those working in the frontlines, to nation-building and our fight against Covid-19,” according to him.
He likewise remembered those who passed, adding that their lasting presence and spirit continue to live on within the generations they helped shape and form.
“Let us celebrate our mothers and make sure they feel our unending love and gratitude for the gift of life and for the deep affection and care, this day and every day,” said Andanar.
