Will the dream of Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Apollo Quiboloy come true once again in 2022?
When President Rodrigo Duterte was still mayor of Davao City, Quiboloy shared the dream he had in 1998 that the local chief executive would rise to the highest office in the land.
“Sixteen years ago, I had a dream. I was invited by the mayor. He took me here by plane going to Manila. When I arrived, I was brought directly to Malacañang, where I played golf with him. While we were playing, mitan-aw ko sa iya. Ana ko sa akong sarili, ‘mayor man ni sa Davao City, nganong na presidente naman ni?’ (I looked at him and asked myself ‘This guy beside me is the mayor of Davao City, how come he’s now the president?),” Quiboloy said on his show, “Give Us This Day,” in 2014.

Quiboloy’s dream came true in 2016, when Duterte won the presidential race with over 16 million votes.
With barely a year left before the 2022 elections, a follower of Quiboloy shared that the pastor also dreamed that Duterte’s daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, will also become president.
Ingrid Chavez Canada said in a Facebook post that Quiboloy had a “vivid dream” days after the 2016 elections that Sara was the president.
“In this dream, he was speaking with Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte. Pastor Apollo posed a question to the local chief executive, ‘Day, now, that you are the president of the Philippines, how would you solve the perennial problem of traffic congestion on EDSA?’
“Mayor Inday answered eloquently and laid down the solutions as if it was a simple problem. Pastor Apollo was floored and was quite impressed with the genius of the young Duterte by the way she answered the difficult question,” Canada shared.
She said Quiboloy forgot what exactly Sara told him in the dream when he woke up the following day.
“It escaped his memory, but all that he could remember was that Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio was the Philippine President in that dream,” Canada said.
Earlier this month, Quiboloy said on his show, “Powerline,” that Sara “is the next anointed president of the Philippines” if she wants.
Sara, however, has repeatedly said she’s not interested in running for president in 2022 despite calls for her to succeed her father.
The mayor remains the candidate to beat for president in the pre-election surveys held by Pulse Asia since the start of 2021.
