Malacanang has named a new provincial prosecutor and two city prosecutors.
Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Menardo Guevarra said the newly appointed officials of the National Prosecution Service (NPS) are Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Prosecutor Rommel Cudal, Paranaque City Prosecutor Benjamin Vermug Jr. and Cabanatuan City Prosecutor Xerxes Cortel.
Guevarra noted the three are among 26 prosecutors in the list he received on Friday (April 30) whose appointments and promotions were approved by Malacanang.
They include six prosecutors promoted to the rank of senior assistant state prosecutors.
They are Senior Assistant State Prosecutors Philipp L. Dela Cruz, Wendell P. Bendoval, Jeanette M. Dacpano, Robert D. Ong Jr., Josyli A. Tabajonda, and Josie Christina T. Dugay.
All six have been designated as part of the prosecution staff of the Office of the Secretary.
