The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases has placed Cagayan, Apayao, and Benguet under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from May 10 to May 23.
The latest quarantine classification is contained in IATF Resolution 114-C signed last Sunday.
“Upon the recommendation of the Screening and Validation Committee, Cagayan, Apayao, and Benguet shall be placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine from May 10, 2021, to May 23, 2021,” the resolution stated.
The MECQ was also imposed in NCR Plus, Abra, Ifugao, City of Santiago, Isabela; Quirino, and Zamboanga City until May 14.
Under this classification, mass gatherings are completely prohibited.
