President Rodrigo Duterte has received his second dose of Covid-19 vaccine, Presidential Security Group chief Brig. Gen. Jesus Durante said on Friday.
In an interview with state-run PTV4 network, Durante said Duterte got his second Sinopharm shot 14 days after the first dose.
“Si Pangulo po ay vaccinated na po siya, at napakahalaga po nito, para lalo namin siyang maingatan, lalo na magagawa niya nang maayos at tuloy-tuloy ang kaniyang tungkulin, upang makapaglingkod sa ating mga kababayan,” he added.
Duterte took his first dose of Sinopharm vaccine on May 3, when the vaccine brand had not yet been cleared for emergency use.
He earlier threatened to jail those who refuse to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
