‘I feel good’: Tugade gets 2nd vaccine shot

Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade is feeling great after completing his coronavirus vaccination.

Tugade, a senior citizen, lined up to get his second COVID-19 shot at a vaccination site in Muntinlupa City on June 5, 2021.

In a Facebook post titled “Bakunado, protektado,” the transport chief felt no adverse side effect after his vaccination so far.

“Kanina ‘ho ay na nagtungo tayo sa Mega Vaccination Center sa Muntinlupa upang magpabakuna kontra Covid-19. Pangalawang dose ko na ‘ho ito, bilang isang senior citizen na kabilang sa A2 at A3 category,” he said.

The 75-year-old Cabinet member also encouraged Filipinos to get vaccinated as soon as possible not only to protect themselves but also their loved ones from the virus spread.

“Lahat tayo ay dapat magpabakuna, hindi lamang para sa ating kapakanan at kalusugan, kung hindi para sa kapakanan at kalusugan ng ating pamilya at mahal sa buhay, at para sa kapakanan at kalusugan ng buong sambayanan,” he said.

Tugade also told people there was nothing to be afraid of getting the COVID-19 shot. He said he actually feels good after his vaccination.

“Tayo po ay makiisa sa layunin ng gobyerno na tayong lahat ay maprotektahan. Huwag kayong matakot. Walang sakit ang turok. I feel good,” he said.

“Sama-sama po tayong magpabakuna,” he said.
