The Philippines on Sunday received an additional one million doses of China’s Sinovac CoronaVac vaccines.
The shipment arrived around 7:30 a.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Metro Manila, according to the National Task Force (NTF) against Covid-19.
The Sinovac vaccines were then brought to the PharmaServ Express cold storage facility in Marikina City.
NTF chief implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., also vaccine czar, said the President instructed that these vaccines be deployed in areas with high risk
for Covid-19 infection.
The country also expects another one million doses of Sinovac vaccine and 2.2 million Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine doses on June 10, added Galvez.
