Murder rap vs quarantine violators? Roque doesn’t share Panelo’s proposal

By Prince Golez

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Wednesday disagreed with the suggestion of Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo to charge quarantine violators with murder.

In an interview with dzRH radio, Roque said a quarantine law is needed to penalize those in violation of the quarantine.

Panelo had said that a person may be charged with murder if s/he intentional transmits the viral illness.

Papasok po ‘yan sa murder sapagkat intentional,” he said.
